The Druk Path Trek is famous for its breathtaking beauty and reaches an altitude of up to 4,000m. It offers stunning views of the Himalayan mountains and serene alpine lakes. Lakes like Jimilang Tsho and Simkotra Tsho are crystal clear, reflecting the surrounding mountains and adding to the peaceful atmosphere.

The trail takes you through diverse landscapes, from cool broadleaf and coniferous forests to dwarf rhododendron, juniper, and open alpine meadows filled with wildflowers in season. You may also spot various birds like the Himalayan Monal, Blood Pheasant, and Alpine Finches, as well as occasional mammals like the Himalayan Serow.

Day 1 - Arrive at Paro international airport
Drive to Hotel, relax or sightseeing depending on your flight schedules. Overnight stay in Paro. Overnight stay in Paro, at elevation of 2,200 meters.
Day 2 - Paro to Tiger’s Nest
Hike: Acclimatization day hike to Tiger’s Nest which takes around 2.5 hours uphill to Tiger’s Nest. Tiger’s Nest is one of Bhutan’s iconic landmarks, perched on a cliff. The cave was discovered by Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, who flew from Tibet riding on the back of a tigress, believed to be his consort appearing in the form of a tigress. Guru Rinpoche meditated in the cave for three years. The temples were built in the 17th century by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgye. An elevation ranging from 2,200-3000 meters.
Day 3 - Paro to Jili Dzong
Visit: National Museum, also known as the Ta-dzong (Watchtower). It is a prominent cultural institution that showcases the rich cultural heritage and history of Bhutan. The museum displays a wide array of artifacts, artworks, textiles and household items that highlight Bhutanese history, religion, and culture. Then, drive for an hour to Chubjakha. Then trek uphill through cool broadleaved and conifer forests. Overnight stay in a camp at Jili Dzong.

Day 4 - Jili Dzong to Jangchulakha
Day 4: Jili Dzong to Jangchulakha

Trek through alpine meadows, rhododendron, and juniper forests, crossing the Jili La pass, offering views of Mount Jhomolhari (7,314m). Descend to Jangchulakha. Overnight stay in camp at Jangchukha.

Day 5 - Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho
Trek passes by yak herder camps and through dwarf rhododendron forests, crossing several ridges to enjoy panoramic view of Himalayas en rout to Jimilang Tsho lake. Overnight stay in a camp near Jimilang Tso lake.

Day 6 - Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho
Trek through alpine meadows and passes by yak herder camp, Janetsho La pass and descend to Simkotra Tsho. Overnight stay in a camp at Simkotra Tsho.

Duration: 4-5 hours

Elevation: 3,100-3,850 meters
Day 7 - Simkotra Tsho to Thimphu
Descend through dwarf rhododendron forests, passing Thujidrag Monastery, Phajoding Monasteries. Then, continue descending through alpine and cool broadleaf forests.

Overnight stay in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan

Day 8 - Thimphu Sightseeig
Visit: National Memorial Chorten, is a prominent religious structure and It was built in 1974 in memory of the late third king of Bhutan

Explore: Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden Buddha statue 51.5 meters tall, it is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Situated on a hill overlooking Thimphu city.

Visit: Takins preserve, Takin is a national animal, unique mammal with a goat-like appearance and is revered in Bhutanese culture and folklore.

Visit: Handmade paper factory, established to preserve the ancient’s Bhutanese tradition of paper making

Visit: Tashichho Dzong, Trashichho Dzong houses the throne room of the King of Bhutan and serves as the summer residence of central monastic body and administrative center.
